Senior Research Fellow, Australian Centre for Health Services Innovation
Queensland University of Technology
Queensland, Australia
Bio
Dr Bridget Abell is a health services researcher at the Queensland University of Technology, Australia, with previous clinical experience in allied health and cardiovascular care. In her role, she works collaboratively with cross-sector multi-disciplinary stakeholders using implementation science approaches to increase the adoption and use of evidence-based practices and improve the quality, effectiveness and equity of health services. She assists health providers and communities to plan, design, implement and evaluate change using a pragmatic, collaborative, co-design approach.
Currently, she is the implementation lead for an Australian project, CHD LIFE+, which is examining existing models of care for neurodevelopmental follow-up support for children with CHD nationally. This program of research will then help health service partners co-design and cost locally relevant, sustainable and accessible family-centred neurodevelopmental models of follow-up care for children with CHD.
